This study investigated the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in English classes at SMP Negeri 8 Tarakan and the challenges teachers faced during its enactment. Using a qualitative case study design supported by interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, the study found that P5 implementation followed a collaborative yet top-down structure in which the head coordinator determined project themes while teachers adapted them to their subjects. In English lessons, all six P5 dimensions, such as Faith and Devotion to God, Global Diversity, Mutual Cooperation, Independent Learning, Critical Thinking, and Creativity, were integrated through routines, thematic activities, and communicative tasks, with Independent Learning receiving the strongest emphasis. Despite this integration, several constraints limited optimal implementation, including uneven student participation, dependence on teacher guidance, limited time allocation, and the lack of standardized assessment tools. These issues particularly hindered the development of Independent Learning, as many students struggled with self-regulation and confidence in managing tasks independently. Teachers also relied heavily on qualitative judgment rather than systematic rubrics, resulting in inconsistent evaluation of character development. Overall, the findings indicate that while P5 values were embedded across planning, instruction, and evaluation, their success depended on teacher agency, student engagement, and institutional support, highlighting the need for clearer guidelines, improved evaluation frameworks, and stronger strategies to promote learner autonomy.

This study aims to examine and elucidate the SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review) method applied in reading comprehension. This study aims to investigate the utilization of this strategy by students and teachers. The researcher employed a descriptive approach utilizing purposive sample strategies to elucidate certain issues or occurrences during the study activities. This study was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Tarakan, involving five students and one English teacher. The researcher gathered data via classroom observation, document analysis. The data was subsequently subjected to qualitative analysis. The study’s findings demonstrate that the SQ3R approach enhances students to take an active role in their learning.

The purpose of the research was to describe the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in English instruction and to find teachers’ problems during the implementation of Curriculum Merdeka in English instruction at class VII-I SMPN 2 Tarakan. In this research, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive method. The researcher collected the data through document analysis, observation, and interviews. The data were obtained from the observation of class VII-I and interviews with English teachers and students. The results of the research showed that the Merdeka Curriculum has been implemented in teaching English subjects. Teachers create the learning objectives flow and teching modules based on the Merdeka Curriculum, which are adapted to the characteristic of the learning unit. Teachers have also implemented the learning cycle and conducted assessments based on Merdeka Curriculum. The barries faced by teachers are that it is difficult to motivate students to be more independent, creative, courageous and critically correct and less differentiated in the delivery of learning.

In this research the research study was to find the teachers' challenges in implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka at SMAS Frater Don Bosco Tarakan The objectives of this research were to describe the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka in English language teaching and to find the teachers' challenges during the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka in English language teaching at the tenth grade of SMAS Frater Don Bosco Tarakan in the academic year 2023/2024. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive method. The researcher collected data through observation, interview, and document analysis. The data were obtained from one class observation of tenth grade and interview with English teacher. The researcher uses Miles and Huberman's data analysis techniques which has three stages: (1) data reduction, (2) data display, (3) drawing conclusions and verification. For the validity of the data, the researcher used the triangulation method. The study results show that Kurikulum Merdeka has been implemented in English language teaching. The teacher implemented Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran and Modul Ajar based on Kurikulum Merdeka adapted to the characteristics of the teaching unit. The teacher has also implemented a learning cycle and conducted an assessment based on Kurikulum Merdeka. The learning components in the form of objectives, materials, methods, media and evaluation have been fulfilled in English language teaching. The challenges faced by the teacher are the limited time to design differentiated learning based on the individual needs of the students and the teacher cannot maintain the enthusiasm of the students until the end of the lesson. Reflection the teacher needs to be creative and innovative in implementing Kurikulum Merdeka in English language teaching. In Continuous Professional Development (CPD) the teacher must also be good in time management both in learning and designing learning materials because of the change that happens in the education unit so the teacher must always update with the teaching strategies and learning materials.

Counseling ethics are rules a counselor must follow, and clients' rights must be protected. A counselor must be responsible to his clients and himself. Confidentiality or (principle of secrecy) is the principle of guidance and counseling that requires the confidentiality of all data and information about students (counselees) who are the target of services, namely data or information that is not allowed and is not appropriate for other people to know, in this case, the supervising teacher is obliged to fully maintain and protect all data and information, so that its confidentiality is genuinely guaranteed. This research aimed to determine the implementation of confidentiality counseling ethics for guidance and counseling teachers at SMP Negeri 3 Tarakan for the 2022/2023 academic year. In this research, the researcher implemented qualitative descriptive research. The primary informants in this research were two guidance and counseling teachers and one student-data collection techniques through interviews and documentation methods The data analysis technique in this research applied data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this research involved the principle of confidentiality in implementing Confidentiality counseling ethics by guidance and counseling teachers at SMP Negeri 3 Tarakan. The implementation of learning is a process of creating condition that are conducive to learning communication interactions between teachers, students, and other learning components to achieve goals. This research aims to analyze the implementation of science learning post COVID-19 pandemic reviewed from students’ learning outcomes at SMPN 5 Tarakan. The method used is qualitative. The reseach subjects were 2 science teachers at SMPN 5 Tarakan. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research result show (1 )The implementation of science learning post COVID-19 pandemic is guided by the RPP, and the science learning planning planning process in classes VIII A and VIII C is in accordance with the teacher who will carry out the learning because the teacher prepares tle lesson according to the theme and material that will be delivered to the students. The stages in the learning meeting are focused and comprehensive in learning activities. (2) The learning science result of students in classes VIII A and VIIIC show that they have reached the KKM and achieved completeness. The highest average score was 80,6 and the lowest average score was 73 from class VIII C. Based on the research results and data analysis show that the implementation of science learning during post COVID-19 pandemic was guided by the RPP and the students’ learning outcomes of science learning showed that they achieved the KKM and achieved completeness.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi yang diterapkan oleh guru Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dalam pembelajaran daring pada masa pandemi Covid-19 di SMP Negeri 11 Tarakan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 orang guru IPA, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru melaksanakan perencanaan dengan menyiapkan silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar kerja siswa, media pembelajaran, dan materi atau bahan ajar. Namun dalam kelangsungannya guru tidak bisa sepenuhnya melakukan apa yang tercantum pada rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran dikarenakan guru memperhatikan situasi dan kondisi serta keadaan siswa saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung tetapi tetap mengarah pada tujuan pembelajaran. Dalam proses pembelajaran guru menggunakan platform seperti WhatsApp grup, Google classroom, Google form, Youtube dan lainnya. Sedangkan pada tahap evaluasi pembelajaran guru melakukan evaluasi penilaian pada ranah psikomotorik, kognitif dan afektif menggunakan Google classroom dan penilaian produk. This research aimed to analyze the strategies used by natural science teachers in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP N 11 Tarakan. This research subjects were 3 science teachers. The results show that the teachers performed their plans by preparing syllabus, lesson plans, worksheets, learing media, and learning materials. However, the teachers could not completely perform what were stated in their lesson plans since the teachers paid more attention to the students’ situations and conditions during the learning processes leading to the learning objectives. In the learning processes, the teachers used various platforms, such as WhatsApp groups, Google classroom, Google Forms, youtube, and others. Meanwhile, in the learning evaluation stage, the teachers evaluated the students’ learning achievements based on psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains using google classroom and product assessments.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe the reading assessments that were used in English reading skills, as well as the method how it was implemented in second semester students in the academic year 2020/2021. A qualitative research approach was used in the study. The subject of this research was an English lecturer in Reading course. This research was conducted in class A1 at the second semester of English education department. The data instruments used in this study were document analysis, observation sheets, and interviews. The data were analyzed by using open coding, axial coding, and selective coding systems. The results showed that there were three types of assessments often used by the English lecturer in assessing the students’ reading skills, namely performance assessment, portfolio assessment and written assessment. From three types of reading assessment, the English lecturer used group discussion and presentation techniques or performance assessment, reviewing novel/articles, making reports or portfolio assessment, answer-questions and multiple-choice tests.

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of character education for students who love nature at the SMA Hang Tuah Tarakan. Character education was the process of giving guidance to students to become fully human beings with character in the dimensions of heart, mind, body, intention and taste. Character education was interpreted as value education, character education, and moral education which aimed to develop the ability of students to make good and bad decisions, maintain what was good, and realized the goodness in everyday life wholeheartedly. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analysed through data collection, data reducation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research showes that the implementation of character educations. The results of thee research showed that the implementation of charatere edukatio was carried out through two processes namely: 1) direct interviews that was conducted one day at school, 2) direct observations to the home environment of 5 students who were members of the Sispala.

. Implementation of Group Guidance During the Covid-19 Pandemic at SMP Negeri 2 Nunukan by Mrs. Siti Rahmi, S.Sos.I., M.Pd as the main supervisor and Mr. Suprianto, S.Sos., M.Pd as member advisor. The purpose of this study to determine the implementation of group guidance during the Covid-19 pandemic at SMP Negeri 2 Nunukan. Group guidance is the provision of assistance to students to prevent problems, solve problems, and develop the potential of students. Group guidance is where a leader provides information and directs discussion so that group members can help each other in the group to achieve goals. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The focus of the research in this study is the implementation of group guidance, the research subjects, namely the main informants in this study, were three guidance and counseling teachers. Data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study were that the implementation of group guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic was carried out online through WhatsApp media. The implementation of group guidance at each stage is explained by the guidance and counseling teacher so that group guidance activities can be directed, coherent, and achieve common goals.

ABSTRAK Layanan klasikal merupakan layanan yang berfungsi pencegahan, pemahaman, pemeliharaan, dan pengembangan sebagai upaya yang secara spesifik diarahkan pada proses yang proaktif tanpa mengenal perbedaan gender. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan layanan klasikal di SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun informan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah dua orang guru bimbingan dan konseling. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui metode wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat beberapa tahapan di dalam pelaksanaan layanan klasikal di SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan yaitu tahap pendahuluan, tahap inti, tahap penutup, dan tahap evaluasi. ABSTRACK Classical services function as services of prevention, understanding, maintenance, and development as efforts that are specifically directed at proactive processes without recognizing gender differences. This study aimed to determine the implementation of classical services in SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. The main informants in this study were two guidance and counseling teachers. Data collection techniques were performed through interview and documentation methods. The data analysis technique in were in the forms of data reductions, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The result of this study showed that there were several stages in the implementation of classical services at SMA Negeri 1 Tarakan, namely the preliminary stage, the core stage, the closing stage, and the evaluation stage.

this study aimed to find out morphology and abundance of mudskipper on Sebatik Island and the potential for its implementation as learning materials in biology learning. Bsed on the morphology, mudskipper had 5 differentiating characters from 23 morphometric characters. For the relative abudance, the species that was classified as high was the Periophthalmus chrysospilos Bleeker (80,64%), the moderate abudance was found in the species of Boleophthalmus boddarti Pallas (16,12%), and the lowest abundance was found in the species of Periphthalmodon schlosseri Pallas (3,22%). These was a link between research in biology learning, namely vertebrate material for class X SMA and basic competence 3.8, applying the classification principle to classify animals into phyla based on life. The results of this identification were poured into teaching materials in the form of lesson plans, practical, guides, student worksheets and handouts.
