BUDIDAYA CACING SUTERA ( Tubifex tubifex ) DENGAN PEMANFAATAN LIMBAH KOTORAN SAPI DAN IKAN LELE PADA SISTEM RESIRKULASI

2020•Skripsi, Thesis, Disertasi, dan Tugas Akhir

ABSTRACT Silkworms (Tubifex tubifex) are natural fish feed that used in the maintenance of ornamental fish and consumption, particularly on the phase of the juvenile. The study aimed to determine the effect of the utilization of the waste of cow and catfish in silkworm cultivation with a recirculation system to increase productivity and biomass of silkworm. The research method used was experimental, consisting of two treatments, such as the waste of cow and catfish with four replications. The results showed the highest productivity and biomass of the silkworm obtained in the treatment of the catfish waste was 170 g and for the treatment of the cow waste, it showed a lower biomass rate was 76 g. The results of water quality measurements during the study showed temperatures ranging from 24.7 to 29.7 C °, pH was in the range of 7, ammonia levels (NH3) ranged from 0.557-3 mg / L, nitrate levels ranged from 0.235 to 0.391 mg / L, and dissolved oxygen (DO) ranged from 2.01 to 4.49 ppm. The conclusion showed that treatment with catfish wastes has a significant effect on the increase of the silkworm biomass (Tubifex tubifex), The final total weight was 170 g with the average weight of 27.5 g and the nutrient content was
