Penelitian terkait reproduksi ikan khususnya tentang Lm dan Lc pada hasil tangkapan rawai dasar yang ada di Pulau Tarakan perlu dilakukan pengkajian, guna menjaga kelestarian dan keberadaan populasi ikan yang ada di perairan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendapatkan data ukuran panjang total dan standar serta berat ikan, mendapatkan data karakteristik dan tingkat kematangan gonad ikan, serta menjelaskan ukuran pertama kali matang gonad dan ukuran pertama kali tertangkap ikan hasil tangkapan utama perikanan rawai dasar yang didaratkan di Kota Tarakan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode observasi dengan pengamatan dan pengukuran ikan hasil tangkapan rawai dasar. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari-Maret 2021. Hasil pengukuran sampel ikan Arut (Pomadasys sp) diperoleh kisaran panjang total 24,7-51,9 cm, berat berkisar 237-2150 gram dan panjang standar 18,8-40,3 cm. Sampel ikan Kakap Merah (Lutjanus sp) diperoleh kisaran panjang total 32,0-50,8 cm, panjang standar 25,8-45,2 cm dan berat berkisar 509-2640 gram. Hasil pengamatan karakteristik Tingkat Kematangan Gonad (TKG) sampel ikan Arut (Pomadasys sp) berada pada TKG I-V dan sampel ikan Kakap Merah (Lutjanus sp) diperoleh TKG I-III. Hasil pengukuran Lm dan Lc sampel ikan Arut (Pomadasys sp) diperoleh nilai Lm > Lc (Lm = 30,17 cm; Lc = 25,98 cm) dan nilai Lm dan Lc pada sampel ikan kakap merah (Lutjanus sp) menunjukan Lm > Lc (Lm = 41,51 cm; Lc = 36,39 cm).

This study aimed to determain the effect of using Mind Mapping method in teaching reading of narrative text to the eight grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Tanjung Selor. This study use quasi experimental desing samples were taken a pruposive sampling. There are two groups taken as a samples in this study, the experimwnt group taught using Mind Mapping method and the control group taught using Picture series. The researcher instrument was written test. The analyzed the data and were taken from the results of the pre test and posttest of the experimental and the control classes. An independent sample t-test was used to analyze the data with the help of SPSS 23.0. The results of this study indicatetd that the mean score of experimental group was 72,27 and that of the control group was 67,60. The critical t-table value (2000) was greater than and the calculated t value (2,256). The probablity was lasser than the level of significance (0,0280,05). In the other worrds, the null hypotesis (HO) was rejected and the alternative hypotesis (Ha) was accepted. The result of the data analysis proved that the teaching result using the Mind Mapping method were higher than that using the Picture Series. Itvwas concluded that he use of mind mapping method in teaching reading of narrative text to the eight grade students at SMP Negri 5 Tanjung Selor was more Effective than the use of the Picture Series.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk buku cerita bergambar berbasis potensi lokal di Pulau Derawan sebagai sumber belajar bagi siswa SMP pada klasifikasi makhluk hidup. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan desain penelitian model Borg and Gall (1983). Langkah-langkah model Borg and Gall (1983) yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu penelitian dan pengumpulan data awal, perencanaan, pengembangan produk awal, uji coba produk dan revisi produk. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil pengembangan produk awal buku cerita bergambar mendapatkan nilai validasi dari ahli materi dengan rata-rata 92% (sangat layak), ahli media dengan rata-rata 91% (sangat layak), dan ahli praktisi dengan rata-rata 89% (sangat layak). Penelitian uji coba produk dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Pulau Derawan sebanyak 12 siswa dengan hasil rata-rata 91% (sangat layak). Rata-rata skor dari ketiga ahli dan respon siswa sebesar 90,75%. Sehingga buku cerita bergambar yang berjudul “Pesona Echinodermata di Pulau Derawan” sangat layak untuk digunakan sebagai sumber belajar siswa.
