Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match pada pembelajaran IPAS dikelas IV-A SD Negeri 004 Tarakan. Penelitian ini didasari dengan latar belakang rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan dengan kurangnya keaktifan, antusiasme, serta ketekunan dalam mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan empat tahapan yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV-A SD Negeri 004 Tarakan tahun ajaran 2025/2026 yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi angket motivasi belajar, lembar observasi guru, dan lembar observasi siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Make a Match dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Pada siklus 1 terdapat 77% siswa yang mencapai motivasi belajar yang tinggi kemudian bertambah menjadi 85% siswa pada siklus 2. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa.

The study aimed to determine whether there is a significant effect of the Make a Match strategy on the reading comprehension of ninth-grade students at MTs Al-Khairaat Tarakan. The method used in this study was pre-experimental research. The population in this study was 23 ninth-grade students at MTs Al-Khairaat Tarakan. The research instrument was a narrative text reading test with 25 multiple-choice questions. To analyze the data, the researcher used the SPSS program version 27.0. The study results showed that the average post-test score after using the Make a Match strategy was higher than the pre-test score before using the Make a Match strategy. The average pre-test score was 49.22, and the post-test score was 59.65, which increased by 10.43 points. It means there is a significant effect on the post-test score compared to the pre-test score. The results of the paired sample t-test also showed that the Sig. (2-tailed) value is below 0.05 (0.001 0.05), meaning that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that using the Make a Match strategy significantly influences the reading comprehension of narrative texts of class IX students at MTs Al-Khairaat Tarakan.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas II-A SDN 032 Tarakan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make A Match. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya metode pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif. Menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari tiga pertemuan, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, serta tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Make A Match dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, dengan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar meningkat dari 84% pada siklus I menjadi 92% pada siklus II. Aktivitas guru juga meningkat dari rata-rata 76% menjadi 90,5%, sementara aktivitas siswa mencapai rata-rata 88,8% pada siklus II. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Make A Match efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa, dan disarankan agar guru menerapkan model pembelajaran yang bervariasi dan interaktif untuk meningkatkan motivasi serta keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar.

ABSTRACT Salma Marten. 2019. The Use of Make a Match Model to Improve Students Reading Comprehension on Narrative Text at Tenth Grade of SMA Negeri 3 Tarakan (Advisor by Romlah Ulfaika, M.Pd). The purpose of this research was to find the effectiveness of using Make a Match Model to improve reading comprehension of tenth grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Tarakan. This research was pre-experiment design. Total sampling technique was used to collect the sample. The population of this research was all the tenth grader at SMA Negeri 3 Tarakan. The total population was 288 students. The sample of this research was X class that consisted of 36 students. The instrument of this research was reading tests that consisted of pre-test and post-test. In analyzing the data, the researcher used descriptive analysis in the SPSS.24.0. The results showed that there was difference mean score between pretest and posttest. It was proven by the result of the students’ mean score. The mean score in pretest was 49.85 and in posttest was 66.81. It was indicated that the mean has increased to 16.95. It can be seen that the improvement of the students’ mean score in the posttest was higher than pretest and it indicated that there was difference from students’ reading score between pretest and posttest. The result of paired sample t-test showed that t-test computation was 14.122 higher than t-table (1.691). On the other word, 14.122 > 1.691 it means (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. The results of data analysis proved that the results of teaching reading comprehension by using Make a Match model be able to improve students reading comprehension. Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that Make a Match model is effective to improve students reading comprehension at tenth grade students’ of SMA Negeri 3 Tarakan.
