AN ANALYSIS OF ENGLISH TEACHER STRATEGIES TO OVERCOME STUDENTS’ DIFFICULTIES IN SPEAKING ABILITY
The utilisation of information technology in Education has been widely used as a supporting medium in teaching and learning activities in the classroom. Kahoot is one of the game-based online learning applications. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Kahoot on students' reading skills at Patra Dharma Tarakan High School. This research method was quantitative with pre-experimental research. Student learning outcomes will be displayed in the form of student learning outcomes scores before and after using Kahoot. It was proven by the results of students' average score. The average results in the Pre-test and post-test were at 73.94 and 24.21. These showed that there was a significant difference using Kahoot as a learning media. This study found that after using Kahoot as a learning media, there was a significant change. Thus, it can be concluded that Kahoot as a learning tool has proven to be successful in improving the reading skills of Patra Dharma Tarakan High School students.
