PEMANFAATAN PLATFORM TIKTOK SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN SISWA TERHADAP POTENSI LOKAL DI KECAMATAN MENTARANG
The purpose of the study was to describe the use of the TikTok platform as a learning media to increase students׳ understandingof local potentials in the district of Mentarang. This type of research used descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The data from this study were obtained through interviews with biology teachers and students of class XII-IPA 1 that became the main source of this research, then observation in the from of passive participation observations and documentation as supporting data from the interviews. The results showed that the characteristics of the TikTok platform media used by teachers and students were very helpful in online learning process activities through the use of various features available on the TikTok platform including the hashtag feature, comment feature, like feature, music feature, and text feature that is utilized in online learning to assist in conveying information on learning materials. Meanwhile, students׳ understanding of local potential was different. Before teaching learning, students lacked an understanding of the local potential, but after teaching the learning process, students can understand the local potential and know various types of local potential that existed in the district of Mentarang.
