ESTIMASI LAJU INFILTRASI PADA DAERAH EMBUNG RAWASARI

2025•Skripsi, Thesis, Disertasi, dan Tugas Akhir

Infiltration is an essential component of the hydrological cycle that influences groundwater availability and the efficiency of water resource management. This study aims to estimate the infiltration rate in the area around the Rawasari Reservoir, which serves a strategic function as a rainwater storage facility and local flood control. Measurements were conducted using the double-ring infiltrometer method at several points around the reservoir with varying land cover conditions and soil characteristics. The data obtained were analyzed using the Horton model approach to determine the initial infiltration rate, steady-state infiltration rate, and maximum infiltration capacity. The study results indicate that the infiltration rate around the Rawasari Reservoir varies depending on vegetation conditions and soil compaction levels. Areas with good vegetation cover show higher infiltration rates than open areas or those frequently traversed by vehicles. These findings provide critical information for reservoir management planning, particularly in optimizing water absorption and surface runoff control. The data analysis results show that the first point of actual infiltration rate capacity (FC) with initial infiltration rate or fo = 17.86 cm/hour, the second point of actual infiltration rate capacity (FC) with initial infiltration rate or fo = 10.00 cm/hour, and the third point of actual infiltration rate capacity (FC) with initial infiltration rate or fo = 11.07 cm/hour.
