This study attempted to outline the students' motivation toward Online Learning during Covid-19 pandemic at English Education Department of Borneo Tarakan University. The design of this study was categorized as Mixed Method Research (MMR). The subject of this study were 152 students from English Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Borneo Tarakan University in the academic year 2020/2021. The variables of this research were intrinsic motivation (X1), extrinsic motivation (X2) as the independent variables, and GPA (Y) as the dependent variable. The data were collected using a questionnaire, interview, and documentation. The questionnaire was in the form of a close-ended. The interview was conducted to gain a more in-depth understanding. The results of this study showed that students' motivation during online learning both intrinsic and extrinsic was good, and the interview results also supported the results of the questionnaire. Thus, there was a correlation between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on learning achievement, which meant that there was a tendency that the higher the student's motivation the higher the student's GPA (Grade Point Average).
