PENGARUH PENDEKATAN STM (SAINS TEKNOLOGI MASYARAKAT) TERHADAP LITERASI SAINS SISWA KELAS XI SMA NEGERI 2 NUNUKAN
The present research aimed to determine the effect of the STC (Science Technology Community) approach on the science literacy of class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Nunukan. This research was quantitative research using a quasi-experimental research method. The subjects of the research were the students of clss XI MIA 1 and XI MIA 2 taken using a purposive sampling technique. The data on science literacy were obtained using a science literacy test adapted from SLA-D for the cognitive domain in the form of multiple choice. The results of students’ science literacy test showed that thee was a difference between the experimental class and the control class. This was evidenced by the t-test value of 2.137 at significance level of 0.05 and df 70 which obtained the t-table value of 1.994. it indicated that the t-test value was greater than the t-table value (2.137 > 1.994). based on this result, it can be cincluded that the STC (Science Technology Community) approach influenced the science literacy of class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Nunukan.
