Abstrak
The aim of this study is to investigate how the Question Answer Relationship (QAR) strategy can assist students in improving their reading comprehension. Using a onegroup pre-test and post-test design, the researcher employed a pre-experimental approach and collected data based on tests. The sample consisted of 30 eighth-grade students from MTs Hurrasul Aqidah Tarakan, selected through purposive sampling. The findings revealed that the use of the QAR strategy during instruction significantly improved the reading comprehension of the eighth-grade students. The average pretest score was 58.93, while the post-test score was 82.27. The significant result from the paired sample t-test was 0.000 0.05, which is smaller than the significance level, and the t-value (11.441) was higher than the t-table value (1.699). It can be concluded that the implementation of the QAR strategy in teaching reading comprehension is highly effective. Additionally, students showed increased interest and enthusiasm in learning when the QAR strategy was used.
