Abstrak
Abstract This study aimed to determine awareness of the dangers of bullying for the 7th grade students of SMPN 1 Tarakan. This quantitative research was conducted by survey method. The popuJation in this study was the 7th grade students of SMPN 1 Tarakan that consisted of classes Vll. l to VII.11 with a total of 352. The sampling was determined through random sampling which consisted of 25% of the population or 88 students. The data were collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The data were analyzed using a descriptive statistical analysis technique. The results of the research showed that there were 36 students with a score of 40.9% (low category of awareness). This meant that the students' knowledge and understanding were still low about the dangers of bullying, which caused the tendency of students to commit bullying.
