Abstrak
This study aimed to develop a Malinau District contextual-based magazine on environmental pollution material for junior high school level with an appropriate category based on expert assessments and to determine students' responses to the Malinau District contextual-based magazine on environmental pollution material. The type of study used was Research and Development (R&D) with a Borg & Gall (1983) research design model. The steps in the Borg & Gall (1983) model used in this research started from research and initial data collection, planning. initial product development, initial product testing, and product revision. Data analysis techniques use qualitative and quantitative descriptive approaches. The results of magazine product development obtained validation results from media experts with a percentage of 88% with very feasible criteria, material experts got a percentage of 83% with very feasible criteria, and practitioners got a percentage of 93% with very feasible criteria. Product trial research was carried out using limited trials with a sample size of 9 class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Malinau Selatan Hilir. The student response results obtained were an average of 92% with the criteria that students were very interested in the magazine being developed. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the magazine entitled "Contextually Based Environmental Pollution in Malinau Regency" is highly implemented as a student learning resource.
