ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF TRUST AND RISK ON ONLINE TRANSACTION INTENTION WITH A TECHNOLOGY ACCEPTENCE MODEL APPROACH (A Case Study in Tarakan People) Laela Mucharomah Wulan Dari Dr.Syahran,S.E., M.Sc This research aimed to examine the effect of (1) Trust, (2) Perceived Usefulness, (3) Perceived Ease of Use, (4) Risk, and (5) Transaction Intention to Tarakan People. The research used a survey method and purposive sampling technique with 230 respondents. The research data were collected using questionnaires. This research emlpoyed SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysis technique operated using PLS software version 3.0. The results show that (1) Trust positively affected transaction intention, indicating that the increasing the trust, the higher the intention to make transaction (2) Perceived Usefulness positively affected transaction intention, indicating the better the Perceived Usefulness, the more positive the intention to make transaction (3) Perceived Ease of Use positively the affected transaction intention, indicating to make transaction. (4) Risk did not affect Transaction Intention, indicating that the higher the risk reception, the lower the intention to make transaction.
