2026•Skripsi, Thesis, Disertasi, dan Tugas Akhir

Palm oil is one of Indonesia's principal agricultural commodities and a key driver of agribusiness development across the value chain, from production to processing. Enhancing palm oil production necessitates systematic attention to multiple production factors, particularly within Tulin Onsoi District. This study identifies internal and external factors influencing production and formulates strategies to improve outcomes for the Tunas Harapan Farmer Group. The research was conducted in Tulin Onsoi District with the Tunas Harapan Farmer Group in Desa Makmur. The sample consisted of 14 farmer group members selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using SWOT analysis. The findings identified several internal factors. Strengths comprised high-quality palm fruit, stable harvest volumes across growth phases, sufficient labor availability, government support, and extensive farmland. Weaknesses included limited farmer group activity, suboptimal land conditions, inadequate fertilizer supply, restricted farm capital, and distance from water sources. External opportunities included optimizing harvest potential for increased productivity, institutional support for superior seedling distribution, opportunities for technology adoption in mechanized agriculture, maximizing production output, and access to multiple fresh fruit bunch marketing outlets. Threats consisted of stricter government land regulations, restrictions on subsidized fertilizer allocation, unpredictable weather, rising pesticide prices, and palm oil price volatility. The analysis recommends defensive strategies from quadrant four, specifically eliminating intermediaries by selling directly to palm oil mills, utilizing organic waste for fertilizer production, implementing integrated pest management with natural materials, and collectively substituting organic inputs to reduce production costs.
