SIZE COMPOSITION OF JANKI TOMPEL FISH (Lutjanus russellii) CAUGHT IN MODIFIED POLY VINLY CHLORIDE (PVC) TRAPS IN BUNYU WATER, NORTH KALIMANTAN Abstract Bunyu Island fisherman use fishing in the form of traps for generation because they have high economic value catcher. This study aimed to determine the composition of the size Jangki Tompel fish (Lutjanus russellii) caught by modified traps and to examine the effect of the cath on the parameters of water quality, temperature, brightness, salinity, and dissolved oxygen. This research was conducted from September to October 2020 in the waters of Bunyu Island. The research results showed that the composition of the size of tompel jangki fish (Lutjanus russellii) formed 6 size classes in the size of total length (PT), standard length (PS) and total weight (BT) with one size group. The results of testing water quality parameters of the number of catches showed a significance value > 0.05 meaning that the water quality parameters that were measured did not have a positive effect on the number of catches.
