The purpose of the research was to determine students' interest in learning English vocabulary using audiovisual media at the eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan and to describe the factors that influence the students in learning English vocabulary using audiovisual media at the eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan. The type of the research used was descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of the research were eighth grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan and English teacher of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan. The researcher took 30 students for fulfilling the questionaries. Then the researcher took 10 students and 1 English teacher for interviews. Data were collected by using questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis techniques were data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion: drawing or verifying. The results of the research showed that most students have a great interest in learning English vocabulary when it used audiovisual media. Students were very enthusiastic in learning English vocabulary when it used audiovisual media. The interest factors that influence students in learning English vocabulary using audiovisual media in the eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan were: 1) internal factors; a) health, b) talent, c) readiness; 2) external factors: a) family; b) school.

ABSTRAK
VALUASI EKONOMI LIMBAH SAMPAH
(Studi Kasus : TPA Kota Tarakan)

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan valuasi ekonomi limbah sampah di Tempat Pembuangan Akhir di Kota Tarakan dilihat dari jumlah sampah yang di kumpulkan dan dijual oleh reponden setiap bulannya, kategori sampah dalam penelitian ini ada tiga kategori diantaranya sampah plasik, sampah non plastik dan sampah organik. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 20 orang dimana responden ini bertempat tinggal dilingkungan TPA. Untuk menghitung manfaat langsung limbah sampah peneliti menggunakan rumus DUV dengan hasil data yang didapatkan secara langsung dengan metode survei serta kuesioner sebagai alat untuk mengumpulkan data yang diperlukan.
Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan nilai manfaat langsung sampah yang ada di Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) Kota Tarakan bagi masyarakat yang bertempat tinggal di sekitaran TPA, dengan hasil perhitungan bahwa dari 20 responden masyarakat mendapatkan nilai manfaat langsung sebesar Rp. 1.030.726 disetiap bulannya. Sementara untuk nilai manfaat langsung setiap tahunnya sebesar Rp. 247.374.240. Dimana nilai manfaat langsung didapatkan dari hasil penjualan sampah yang dikumpulan Dimana nilai manfaat langsung didapatkan dari hasil penjualan sampah yang dikumpulan, jenis sampah yang dikumpulkan yaitu sampah plastik, sampah organik dan sampah nonorganik.
