EVALUATION OF THE ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION OF THE FACULTY OF MEDICAL BUILDING, UNIVERSITY OF BORNEO TARAKAN Abstract Evaluation of electrical installations in new buildings is necessary to ensure compliance with PUIL 2011 standards, especially in protection, lighting and conduction systems. This research aims to assess the condition of the electrical installations of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Borneo, Tarakan Building and provide recommendations for improvement. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method carried out through field observations, measurements and analysis based on PUIL 2011. The results show that the electrical load on Floor 1 is 72.90 kW with a current of 138.45 A and MCB 160 A. Floor 2 is 7.91 kW with a current of 15.03 A and MCB 16 A, while Floor 3 is 257.53 kW with a current of 489.09 A and MCB 630 A. All currents are still below the safety capacity. The use of 4mm cables on Floor 1 and 2.5mm on Floors 2 and 3 still meets the current carrying capacity. However, there is a load imbalance between phases. Electrical installations are not yet fully up to standard and require repairs to increase safety and efficiency
