Abstrak
The purpose of this research was conducted as an effort to develop local languages, especially in the grecting words of the Dondo tribal language. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, the data obtained amounted to 49 data through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Then the data collected is interpreted into Indonesian. The results of the research on Greetings in the Dondo Tribal Language in the Overseas Community in Sesayap Hilin Village, Tana Tidung Regency, namely showing some analysis of greetings according to (1) kanship such as father (uma) and mother (ma) (2) according to titles and positions such as village bead and regent (3) according to the greeting of the name itself which has its own designation (4) according to the pronouns in the greeting can be used when addressing someone who does not mention the name but leads to someone like them and you (5) based on the form of the noun in the greeting has words whose endings use (+K) words whose endings use (Me) such as Abangku (6) greetings based on other nouns use formal greetings and do not mention other people's names such as mister and miss (7) according to the word actors in this greeting have the form (+Pe) verbs such as singers and dancers
