This study focused on the analysis of metalanguage in the textbook "Advanced English" published by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The research method was content analysis with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through the identification and categorization of metalanguage elements contained in the reading text of the textbook. The results showed that this textbook integrates various elements of metalanguage, such as sentence structure, word classes, tenses, voice, modal auxiliary verbs, and other linguistic forms that support language understanding. However, it was also found that some metalanguage concepts have not been explicitly explained, which may affect students' understanding of English structures.
