DEVELOPING POSTER AS LEARNING MEDIA ON INTRODUCTION MATERIAL AT CLASS VII OF SMPN 11 TARAKAN The objective of the research was to develop posters as learning media on introduction material in English subject at class VII students of SMPN 11 Tarakan. The type of the research was research and development. The researcher used ADDIE model which consisted of five steps, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instrument used in this research consisted of the questionnaire for material expert validation and media expert validation, and the questionnaire for students. The results showed that the media expert validation of poster as learning media on introduction material was 100%; the material expert validation of poster as learning media on the introduction material was 92.5% and both were very well category. The results of the students’ response questionnaire were divided into three, one-to-one formative evaluation was 84.37% very good category, small group evaluation was 85% very good category, and field test evaluation was 87.6% very good category. The results of the research on developing posters as learning media on introduction material are feasible to use in learning English for class VII students of SMPN 11 Tarakan.
