Abstrak

Education is a basic need that is not yet fully accessible to the Indonesian migrant community in Kuala Lumpur, especially children and families of migrant workers who face legal, economic, and structural limitations. Limited access to formal education results in limited learning opportunities, weak basic literacy development, and a lack of safe, sustainable learning spaces. This situation not only affects children's academic abilities, but also their self-confidence, family involvement, and the overall quality of life of the community. In addition, the lack of community-based educational facilities hinders lifelong learning and social empowerment for migrant families. Therefore, an alternative non-formal education is needed that meets learning needs while supporting social integration and community strengthening. Sanggar Belajar Sentul Kuala Lumpur was established in response to these issues by providing an inclusive, sustainable learning space based on the real needs of the Indonesian migrant community.
