Abstrak
Chili is one of the commodities that have the potential to significantly increase famer income.in general, several factory influence Farmers'income, including the amount of production, selling prices,and production Costa.the study's objectives where (1) to determine the characteristics of Cayenne pepper Farmers in Juata laut village,Tarakan. (2) to determine the income of Cayenne pepper Farmers in Juata Laut village, Tarakan.Analysis of the data used was income analysis which was used to see the income of Chili Farmers in the research area.first,the analysis with a simple tabulation was to calculate the production Costa and farm income of Farmers,concluding that the characteristics of Chili Farmers based on age where mostly in the unproductive age range (> 50 years) with a percentage of 43%.Based on the level of education, most had an elementary school educational background with a percentage of 40% based on the number of dependents of the family as many as 4-6 people with a percentage of 50%,based on the land area of Farmers who have a relatively large area of 0.5 hectare - 1 hectare with 80% percentage.the income of Cayenne pepper Farmers in Juata laut village, Tarakan was Rp.16,729,044 in one month with an income of Rp.21,500,000
