Abstrak
Emotional maturity is an individual condition that reaches a level of maturity in their emotional development, characterized by the ability to control emotions, think realistically, understand oneself, and express emotions at the right time and place. This study aims to describe the level of emotional maturity of prospective brides and grooms through a survey conducted in May 2024 at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office in Tarakan. This research uses a survey method with a quantitative approach. Data collection using a saturated sample of 126 prospective couples, representing the entire population. The data collection technique employed a 5-category Likert scale on emotional maturity. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis. The results of this study are unique; out of the five categories of emotional maturity examined, the prospective couples only occupied two intermediate categories. The "good" category accounted for 53%, making it the most frequent category in this study, and the "moderate" category accounted for 47%, making it the second most frequent category. These results indicated that the emotional maturity levels of the prospective brides and grooms are good level, concluding that they are ready to embark on the journey of marriage.
