Abstrak
Comprehensive Midwifery Care (Continuity of Care) is a midwifery service provided continuously from pregnancy through labor, the postpartum period, and into the newborn period to identify risks and improve the health of both mother and baby. This care was provided to Mrs. S at the Gunung Lingkas Community Health Center from June 26 to July 23, 2025. Four visits were conducted, including one third-trimester prenatal visit, one labor visit, one postpartum visit, and one newborn visit. The third-trimester prenatal visit took place on June 26, 2025, at 39 weeks and 5 days of gestation, with examination results showing that the mother's and baby's conditions were within normal limits and without complications. Delivery took place on July 5, 2025, at 41 weeks and 1 day of gestation in accordance with the Normal Delivery Care (APN) standards, with the first stage lasting 2 hours, the second stage 47 minutes, the third stage 5 minutes, and monitoring of the fourth stage for 2 hours. The baby was born spontaneously at full term, cried immediately, had a rosy skin color, and good muscle tone. The placenta was delivered in its entirety, with blood loss of approximately 100 cc; there were no lacerations of the birth canal. A postpartum and newborn checkup was conducted on July 23, 2025. The results revealed that the mother and baby were in normal condition, with vital signs within normal limits; fetal movements were no longer palpable; lochia was sanguinolent; and there were no signs of infection or complications. The newborn examination revealed a female infant weighing 3000 grams, with a length of 50 cm, a head circumference of 34 cm, and a chest circumference of 34 cm. The care findings indicated that the pregnancy, delivery, postpartum period, and newborn care proceeded physiologically without complications. The implementation of continuous midwifery care contributed to maintaining the health of the mother and baby.
