Abstrak
"Indonesia is a country rich in natural resources, where rice fields are one of them. Rice fields are one of the inheritance of ancestors that should be preserved and maintained in order to sustain the lives of future generations and the continuity of social ties. Along with the development of technology and culture towards modern life and the effects of globalization, cultural heritage and traditional values of indigenous peoples face challenges to their existence, where cultural heritage and traditional values contain a lot of local wisdom that is still very relevant to current conditions, and should be preserved and adapted or even further developed. Therefore this study aims to determine the local wisdom of the Lundayeh Dayak community which is maintained in rainfed lowland rice cultivation. The method used is the Snowball Sampling chain sequence sampling and this method is used for key informants in analyzing local wisdom. The results obtained from this study are 22 local wisdoms that are retained. And for the factors that cause local wisdom is maintained is the availability of organic fertilizer, the used of traditional tools that still exist, the preservation of land and respect for ancestral heritage (ancestors). For the village government, it is suggested to assist the community in maintaining existing traditions by directing and guiding farmers in the cultivation of rice paddy fields while maintaining their local wisdom.
