Abstrak
The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the hedonic lifestyle of the students of the university of borneo tarakan. the method used in this research was descriptive qualitative. informants in this study were students of the university of borneo tarakan. data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. the collected data were analysed through data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. the results showed that hedonism was an individual who had a wasteful lifestyle or did things that violated the norms of the society. shopping, hanging out, and clubbing activities were carried out more than 12 hours per day and 6-7 days a week. this influenced by internal factors such as views on things, experiences, social observations, perceptions, popularity, desire to be defferent, and external factors such as group references, use of social media, fashion, and prestige.
