Midwifery Care For Post Partum Mothers With The Application Of Oxytocin Massage To Improve Breast Milk Production In The Melati Room Malinau Regional Hospital ABSTRACT Postpartum is a period of recovery of the reproductive organs as before pregnancy. During the postpartum period, it is not uncommon for a postpartum mother to experience problems related to breast milk production. The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia in 2023 is 63.90%, in North Kalimantan 45.4% and in Malinau Regency 87.7%. The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding is still relatively low in North Kalimantan so there are several ways that can be done to increase this coverage, namely by providing complementary care that is non-pharmacological, namely oxytocin massage. This study aims to provide midwifery care to postpartum mothers by implementing oxytocin massage to increase breast milk production in the Melati room of Malinau Hospital. This study is a quantitative study with a case study approach conducted on June 5-10, 2025, the sample in this case study was a postpartum mother who experienced irregular breast milk production. Oxytocin massage was carried out for 6 visits, namely every morning. The instruments used were baby scales, measuring cups for breast milk storage, 1 set of tools for performing oxytocin massage and observation sheets. Breast milk production increased from 30 ml to 200 ml on the 6th day of oxytocin massage. It is recommended for midwives in health facilities to be able to provide education and apply oxytocin massage to every postpartum mother so that breast milk production is smooth and reduces the occurrence of problems related to breast milk production.
