Designing English Podcast for Vocational Students' of SMK Negeri 1 Tarakan
ABSTRACT This paper aims to discuss Podcasts as an innovation in learning English and supplement the students of Tenth Grade Students of SMK Negeri 1 Tarakan in learning Listening skills. This paper explored about how to build a podcast product through some stages. This research also reviews the student's response in learning by using podcasts. In this research, the researcher used the Research and design using ADDIE Model. The development model procedures consist of Analysis, second is Design, third is Development, fourth is Implementation, and Fifth is Evaluation. The instrument used in this research contained the student needs, expert validator sheet, questionnaire, interview sheet, and students' response questionnaire. The results of the expert validation showed 93.88%, which means (Very Agree) with the product. The results of the student's response showed 77.36%, which means (Positive) and the product well accepted for the students. The results of the teachers’ response showed 83% indicating (Positive) response from the teacher. The result of this research states that Podcast as supplementary teaching and learning and appropriate for use in learning English for Tenth-grade students of SMK NEGERI 1 Tarakan, especially in Listening Skill.
