THE EFFECT OF SEESAW CLASS APPLICATION ON STUDENT’S SPEAKING SKILL AT SMK KESEHATAN KALTARA
The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a difference in the speaking abilities of students at SMK Kesehatan Kaltara's eleventh grade between those who were taught using the seesaw class application as a medium and those who were taught using traditional techniques. This study employed a quasi- experimental methodology and a nonequivalent control design as the preferred kind of design. This study used purposive sampling to choose class eleven nursing A as the experimental class and class eleven nursing B as the control class. To analyze the data, researcher employed an independent sample t-test. According to the study's findings, there were substantial disparities between students who were taught speaking skills using the seesaw class application and those who were taught using more traditional approaches. The t test result (2.367) was stronger than the t- table since the hypothesis test determined that the significant factor was smaller than 0.05. (2.045). The data showed that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Ha claimed a significant increase in students' speaking ability by using the seesaw class application as a medium for practicing the speaking skills of eleventh grade students at SMK Kesehatan Kaltara.
