PENGARUH CARBON EMISSIONS DISCLOSURE DAN CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) TERHADAP NILAI PERUSAHAAN DENGAN LEVERAGE SEBAGAI VARIABEL MODERASI (Studi Pada Perusahaan Sektor IDXBASIC)
This study investigates the effect of carbon emissions disclosure (CED) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) on firm value, incorporating leverage as a moderating variable, focusing on companies listed in the IDXBASIC sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2020–2024. Using purposive sampling, 21 companies were selected with a total of 105 observation data points. The study employed a quantitative approach, utilizing panel data regression and moderation regression analysis (MRA) performed with E-Views 12 software. The results revealed that carbon emissions disclosure does not significantly affect firm value, suggesting that investors do not perceive the extent of CED information to have a direct economic benefit for firm valuation. Conversely, both CSR and leverage had a significant negative impact on firm value, indicating that higher levels of CSR disclosure and leverage are associated with lower firm value. Moreover, leverage did not moderate the relationship between CED and firm value; however, it did moderate and strengthen the influence of CSR on firm value. This study contributes to the literature on legitimacy theory, signaling theory, and stakeholder theory by enriching these fields. Practically, the findings serve as a reference for regulators and corporate management to enhance firm value through the quality and integration of CED, CSR, and leverage strategies.
