ANALISIS KETAHANAN PANGAN RUMAH TANGGA PETANI BERDASARKAN PROPORSI PENGELUARAN PANGAN DI KELURAHAN JUATA LAUT KOTA TARAKAN
The income level of farmers is a factor that will affect the ability of famers to achieve food security. This can be measured based on the proportion of expenditure on food and non-food. This research aimed to (1) determine the income and expenditure of farmer in Juata Laut Village, Tarakan city; (2) find out the proportion of food expenditure to total household expenditure of farmers in Juata Laut Village, Tarakan City. A total of 50 respondents were taken as sample using purposive sampling method. Data were analyzed descriptively, in the forms of household income, household expenditure and the proportion of food expenditure to total household expenditure. The result indicated that the average household income of farmers was Rp. 2,810,948 per month, consisting of farm income and non-farm income. The average household expenditure for farmers was Rp. 1,466,210 per month, which consisted of food and non-food expenditure. The proportion of food expenditure to total household income consisted of food expenditure with a percentage of 39.77% and non-food expenditure of 60.23%. It was concluded that farmer household were in the food resistant category.
